WESTEND, originally constructed in 1920, is the 'workhorse' facility. The plant employs modern techniques and processing equipment to manufacture anhydrous borax (PYROBOR®), borax pentahydrate (V-BOR®), and sodium sulfate from the abundant resources of Searles Lake.

A unique fractional crystallization process coupled with the best manufacturing practices, insures that products of consistently higher quality standards are produced to meet customer requirements.
